Judging Open Scoring

Hosting a meet

Hosting your own meet means lining up judges early and making sure they know how we score. The sanctioning process, the season timeline, and how to request judges in your state are all covered here:

Request judges by September 1 if you can, and by October 15 at the latest — judges book up across the whole season, so early is genuinely better. Sanctioned events need certified judges.

Briefing a judge who has not worked a UCG meet? Send them the cheat sheets ahead of time. They are built for exactly this — a quick pass over where we diverge from USAG, so nobody is reading a rule change for the first time on the floor.
