Nationals 2020 Overview

Hotel and Venue:

Nationals 2020 will take place at the Rhode Island Convention Center. All hotel options listed below are within walking distance to the competition.

There are three options for host hotels this year in Providence: Omni Providence, Graduate Providence and Hilton Providence.

The Omni Hotel is directly connected to the convention center and the Hilton and Graduate are located within walking distance. Hotel reservations can be made here. Reservations will close March 25, 2020.

Please note that this booking is done through National Travel Systems (NTS), not the hotel. If you made a reservation through NTS, the hotel will NOT have information on your reservation until after the NTS reservation deadline of March 25, 2020. If you would like to speak to someone about your reservation, please contact NTS directly.

Competition Fees and Registration:

Registration will close March 9, 2020**

1. UCG Club Membership Fee: $75 (UCG Club Membership)
Club membership is required to compete in UCG sponsored meets (i.e. Nationals) and to participate in other UCG activities (i.e., clinics/camps). The club membership fee can be paid online by any authorized club representative. All UCG member clubs this year will receive a free UCG Banner bearing the club’s name. The proceeds go to help fund and support the organization. You will also be able to add bulk individual and coach membership fees on this page.

2. UCG Individual Membership Fee: $30 per person (UCG Individual Membership)
Individual membership is required from each individual to compete in UCG sponsored meets (i.e. Nationals) and to participate in other UCG activities (i.e., clinics/camps). Individual membership is open to athletes, coaches and anyone wishing to support the UCG organization. We also offer a $15 coach’s membership for team coaches and non-competing gymnasts that will allow those individuals floor access. Please note that only the full membership will include the membership gift. All of these proceeds go to help fund and support the organization. The membership fees are separate from Nationals meet fees.

Each participant must have their own username and password. Members who participated at Nationals in prior years should use their old username and password. To reset a forgotten password or to set up a new username and password, go to UCG Membership Online. For additional username or password help, email info@unitedclubgymnastics.org. Members from previous years do not need to make changes online, but still need to pay annual fees. All full members will receive a yearly membership gift.

All participants and coaches must sign the UCG Event Waiver.

3. Nationals Individual Fees:
Nationals 2020 fees include individual registration fees and team fees if competing as a team. These fees are in addition to the UCG membership fees (described above). Each club must pay an individual fee for each individual competitor, as well as a team fee for each team that is entered into the team competition. The individual competitor fee includes a t-shirt automatically. Please ensure you registration on the Meet Registration Page.

  • $85 for early bird registration paid / postmarked by February 3, 2020
  • $95 for regular registration paid / postmarked by February 24, 2020
  • $115 for late registration paid / postmarked by March 9, 2020
• Decathlon
  • $20 for regular registration paid / postmarked by March 9, 2020
• Multiple AG Disciplines
  • $20 for regular registration paid / postmarked by March 9, 2020
• T&T
  • $30 for regular registration paid / postmarked by March 9, 2020

4. Nationals Team Fees:
Entering a group from your club into the team competition is not required, but it is necessary to be eligible for team finals. Each team may have at most 8 people compete on each event, but a club can enter multiple teams. (If confused about team fees, click here for examples.)

MAG/WAG Team Registration Fees:

• $100 paid / postmarked by February 24, 2020
• $125 paid / postmarked by March 9, 2020

5. Member Banquet Tickets:
Banquet tickets for members and coaches can be purchased through the Nationals registration system. The award ceremony will be held at the banquet*.

Banquet Tickets:

• $35 for regular banquet tickets paid / postmarked by February 24, 2020
• $40 for late banquet tickets paid / postmarked by March 9, 2020
• $45 for non-member banquet tickets

Non-UCG members may purchase banquet tickets through the UCG store online.

*Please note that this year’s UCG Nationals will feature a Reception-Style Banquet on Saturday evening! Awards will take place in the main ballroom throughout the evening and your club is encouraged to sit in the awards area only during the time your club member(s) may receive awards. More details to follow but as always please reach out to info@unitedclubgymnastics.org with any questions.

** If you do not register for Nationals and pay by March 9, 2020, you are not guaranteed entry into the competition. If you need to pay registration fees after March 9, 2020 please email info@unitedclubgymnastics.org.

Event Schedule:

Below is a tentative schedule for Nationals 2020. Unless listed otherwise, all events are taking place in the Rhode Island Convention Center Exhibit Hall.

* All clubs should send one or more representatives to the UCG Annual Meeting. Typical agenda items include: director elections, nationals feedback, rule changes, future Nationals announcements.

** The march-in prior to Finals is for all clubs and members participating in Nationals, not just the Finals’ qualifiers. All athletes should report to the convention center and begin lining up at 10am.  Line up will occur in the Convention Center South Concourse

*** All clubs are expected to assist in equipment teardown at the conclusion of the Finals Session.
